I'd hope and pray that this has been mentioned.

Why do we have to be Adam and Steve to get a house?

Can't it just say "roommates" rather than having two blokes having to list the other as their "spouse"??

It's silly really.

No, it's hasn't been mentioned before. It's not really a big deal, but I do agree with you. I think the more sufficient term would have to be "Partner" and just that.

It just seems odd to have your buddy go in on a house and then have to be called your spouse.

Should be a simple fix.

do not really mind and roommate isn't technically the term since one person owns the property. Partner is a better way to say it
